There’s something magical about the mountains of Kentucky. When we were planning a location for this Kentucky engagement session I suggested Pine Mountain in Letcher County and my couple- Josh and Anna- loved it just as much as I did. I’ve seriously never worked in this spot before and was not absolutely obsessed with the pictures. As an Eastern KY and Lexington wedding photographer, I always love working in new places- but there’s something so tried and true about Pine Mountain. You can’t beat it!
They took a 4 hour round trip to make this happen. It rained a little bit before we got started- and there was even a double rainbow! But the rain just made the fog and mist in the mountains even more beautiful.
Anna loved my film photography and asked if I could use mostly film to photograph this session for them. OF COURSE! Bring on the extra nostalgia and beautiful colors. Any chance I can use film in a session I absolutely will.
I immediately sensed the strong connection between these two. Josh has such a genuine smile, and Anna has such a soft kindness. I loved seeing them interact together in such a beautiful way in front of my camera.
These two will be getting married this October at New Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. I am so so happy for Anna and Josh and SO happy that I get to be their Kentucky wedding photographer!
